Driving School Locations

Our driver’s education classes serve the Big Rapids, Remus and outlying areas. Both Teen Driver Education classes and Adult Driver Education instruction are available for students living in:

• Big Rapids

• Reed City

• Baldwin

• Morley / Stanwood

• Chippewa Hills

• Remus

As well as the following outlying areas throughout West Central Michigan:

• Isabella County

• Osceola County

• Mecosta County

• Newaygo County

 

Classroom Locations

 

West Central Michigan Driver’s Education provides classroom instruction for Segment I and Segment II in both Big Rapids and Remus. Students from Reed City, Baldwin, Morley, Stanwood and Chippewa Hills are welcome to attend classes at whichever location is most convenient.

Students attending classes for the first time will meet their instructor/s at these locations during the first scheduled class session.

Road Driving Instruction Locations

 

Students meet their instructor for scheduled driving instruction at the same site where classroom instruction takes place. Instructors have students conduct the majority of their driving instruction in and around Big Rapids, since we feel Big Rapids is an ideal “training ground” for beginning drivers. Big Rapids area roads offer a complete training course for the driving portion of our driver’s ed, including in-town traffic, one-way streets, country roads, freeway access, divided highways and intersections large and small. 

Unlike many other schools, West Central Michigan Driver Education instructors don’t have students spend excessive time on freeway driving. Rather, our instructors provide students with more rigorous driving exercises on busy city streets, one-way streets and intersections, ensuring each student has gotten the most out of his or her driving time.
